Teaching

I am a graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University as well as the the New York City Teaching Fellows Program. I have worked as a classroom teacher in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) settings before returning to school to earn my doctorate. I have taught as faculty at Teachers College, Columbia University, Long Island University in Brooklyn, and City College. I have served as a teaching coach and consultant for schools across NYC. I am committed to culturally sustaining, responsive, and inclusive practices in my work with children and adults. I am committed to listening to my students, valuing their experiences and knowledge, and bringing what I learn from them to my instructional practice with them.
